A live moment from the game

Every seventh night, the horde comes.

Scavenge the ruins, train survivors, craft and fortify — then hold the wall when the raid hits. Your camp's defenses decide whether it holds or breaks.

What you get

An idle RPG that respects your time and your intelligence.

Mechanical depth

Combat plus gathering and crafting skills, each with its own deep XP and mastery curve. AFK gains bank while you're away — close the tab, come back later.

A camp to defend

Build and upgrade the Terminal — walls, turrets, a generator, a campfire, a forge. Recruit survivors who drift in from the wastes. Every 7th night a horde raids, and your defenses decide whether the wall holds.

True idle — runs while you're away

AFK gains bank while the tab's closed. No server in the gameplay loop — close the laptop, come back to your haul. The whole game runs in your browser.

Zero microtransactions

No energy timers, no premium currency, no gacha, no pay-to-win. The free browser version is the whole game. Steam paid build is a one-time price.

Mod-first

Public mod API at launch. Content packs, custom regions, data-driven content. Community modding is a first-class goal — it's what keeps idle RPGs alive for years.

Cloud save (optional)

Browser localStorage by default. Anonymous cloud backup if you want it. No account required to play, ever.

Why this is different

Most idle RPGs are just numbers going up.

The Terminal gives the idle loop something to be about — a camp that can fall, a wall that can break, and a night that's always coming.

Other idle RPGs

  • Click a skill, watch a bar, repeat
  • No stakes — nothing you do can be lost
  • The world never reacts to you
  • The same screen at hour 1 and hour 500

The Terminal

  • Every skill feeds a camp you build and defend
  • 7-day horde raids — fail and you lose supplies
  • Day/night, wasteland ambushes, a horde that scales
  • The camp visibly grows: buildings, survivors, defenses
The setting

Thirty years after the Quiet.

Vance City went silent in a single night. Now it's half-overgrown — corp drones patrolling routes to nowhere, the Quiet Choir leaving offerings at dead intersections. You hold the last lit window: a fortified diner on the city's edge.

The Terminal — your camp

An old highway diner, walled and wired. Build it up, recruit the survivors who drift in, and hold it together one night at a time.

◍ Your camp

  • Walls, turrets and watchtowers that decide if a raid holds
  • Survivors recruited from the wastes, each with a trade
  • Eight skills, a toolbelt, a forge, a stash, a job board
  • A day/night cycle — and every 7th night, a horde

◎ What's out there

  • Walkers and feral things in the overgrown blocks
  • The Pale Crew — raiders who take what they can't grow
  • The Quiet Choir — cultists who sing to something below
  • Corp drones still running thirty-year-old patrols

Common questions

FAQ.

Is the game really free?
Yes. The browser version is free indefinitely with no ads, no microtransactions, and no energy timers. The Steam and mobile builds are separate one-time purchases (sold per platform), and paid expansions come later — but the free browser game stays free forever.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The whole game runs in your browser with no server in the gameplay loop — close the tab, come back later, and your AFK gains are banked. An optional anonymous cloud backup is on the roadmap.
How long is the game?
It's an idle RPG, built to be open-ended. Expect hundreds of hours to push every skill toward 99, with prestige and a steady stream of new content beyond that. You don't "finish" it — you keep building.
Will it run on my phone?
It plays in any modern mobile browser today, and the layout adapts to the screen. Dedicated Steam and mobile builds are planned.
Can the game be modded?
A public mod API is planned. The content — items, monsters, recipes, buildings — is data-driven by design, so content packs and custom regions are a first-class goal, not an afterthought.
Will my saves transfer to the Steam version?
Yes — that's a hard requirement. Browser saves export to a file you can import into the Steam build, with optional cloud sync between the two.
What does a Founder's Pack actually get me?
When paid Founder's Packs open, the Founder tier reserves a Steam Early Access key, a supporter badge in your in-game Codex, and your name on the credits scroll; the Patron tier adds a survivor named after you and closed-playtest access. For now, joining the founders list is free — no charge, no pre-order. Paid packs open later, once there's a demo and a proper checkout.
How else do I support the project?
Play the free version and tell other idle-RPG fans. Wishlist on Steam when the page goes live. Subscribe to the devlog. Drop a Ko-fi tip if it's worth coffee money to you. A cosmetic supporter tier launches with the paid Steam build.
